The International Technical Rescue Symposium is a gathering of persons from across the spectrum of rescue disciplines to share news and views on advances in equipment and techniques, technical problems, and issues of mutual concern. Attendees are typically paid professionals or volunteer rescue personnel from fire departments, national and state parks, mountain rescue teams, and other similar organizations.
Attendance is limited to preserve the collaborative nature of ITRS and to maintain opportunity for meaningful connection and information exchange.

Fees Include

A copy of the conference papers, morning and afternoon refreshments, a continental breakfast on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday morning. Lunch and remaining evening meals are not included.

Any registration for which payment in full has not been received by October 31st will be automatically cancelled. Members of government agencies, who must attend the symposium prior to making payment, must submit an approved purchase order prior to October 31st. Payment will be due 15 days after the symposium. The cancellation and refund policy below will also apply to these participants.

If you are unable to attend the Symposium but would like to authorize someone to attend in your place, please contact us in advance to provide the name of your substitution attendee.
Registration fees paid by credit card must be verified before registration will be accepted. Any credit card registration for which charges are not approved will be automatically cancelled.
Cancellations must be submitted in writing to ITRS Registration, P.O. Box 803, Lafayette, GA 30728.

Refunds will be calculated by the date the notification is received:
Prior to September 1st: Full refund
September 1st to October 1st: 75% refund
After October 1st: No refund
 

Accommodations

Note that ITRS relies heavily on your staying at the host hotel for the event to remain affordable. Specifically, they reduce and/or waive the meeting room fee if we achieve a certain number of room nights. For this reason it is extremely important that you book your hotel room as soon as possible. Not having enough hotel rooms booked to offset meeting costs would be one reason we might have to cancel!

Note, hotel room cancellations are permitted up to within a day or two of the event.

The last day to reserve at the special rate is October 8th and is subject to prior sell out of our room block.
